Wow, thats quite a drop in activity. How does that compare to 3 or 6 months ago? I am a Downtown Vancouver Realtor in Canada and we have seen declines in activity but not quite like this.

Comment on Who Maintains the Common Areas Around Greenhaven? by Lance

Hello,

The area around and inside of Greenhaven that is not owned by individuals is to be maintained by the HOA.

It is the HOA's responsiblity! I heard that the new home construction behind our community (KB Homes) cut the sprinkler line that is why the water is not turned on.

Either way, our neighborhood looks terrible. So I sent an email to our HOA and at first got no response. I sent another email to our HOA and this was this was the email bantor:

[My Mail]

I live in the John Laing neighborhood / Greenhaven community on the corner of Black Forest / Dublin.

The landscaping in our neighborhood is in terrible shape; please take note/help. There is a strip of land behind my home / bordering the new home site construction that the HOA is to maintain, along with the area next to the main streets (Black Forest / Dublin) for starters that needs attention. The sprinklers are not turned on, the trees are dying and required replacement and it is overgrown with weeds verses something pleasing to look at. It looks like a run-down neighborhood and it is a new neighborhood.

I am disappointed for two reasons. One, our neighborhood looks bad and run-down. Two, I have to bring this to your attention which should not be necessary.

I will not be disappointed if something is being done about it or you are aware and care.

What is being done about this? Thank you in advance Tracy.

kindly,
lag

[Their Email]

At the Board meeting last evening, we received and approved a proposal for the removal of dead plant materials and their replacement. The new landscape company is ready to go with this work and we hope to see great improvement in the next 2 to 3 weeks. We have been aware of the situation and have been working with the landscaper to come up with a plan for the improvements. Please keep us

Note: Email dated June 18th, 2008.
If you want to follow up with the HOA, email:
angela@diversifiedprop.com

Kindly,
Lance
